Business problem
HR leadership needed one view combining workforce composition, attrition, and compensation to guide retention and hiring decisions.
Solution
Modeled the employee dataset and built KPI cards for headcount, leavers, average tenure, and age, alongside breakdowns by department, gender, and satisfaction.
Key insights
- 1,470 total employees with 237 leavers — attrition concentrated in Research & Development and Sales
- Job satisfaction level 4 was the largest group, but levels 1–2 combined represented meaningful retention risk
- Research & Development held the largest salary spend at 6.0M, followed by Sales at 3.1M
- Average tenure of 7 years with an average age of ~37
